Discovery

Like most people, I have a few obsessions.  It was my Funko Pop! obsession that introduced me to The Martian Manhunter.  I was searching for new pops when I came across him.

I had never heard of him before, but I liked his look. I was not sure if he was a villain or hero. I've only dipped my toe into the comic book world, but I've immersed myself in the comic book movie world, so my knowledge of all characters is limited to the movies.  While looking at pop photography, I came across a photo that included Martian Manhunter with some Oreos. I did not think much of it. Maybe the photographer liked Oreos. I photograph my toys with food and it doesn't necessarily mean anything.  I showed the photo to a friend who actually knew Martian Manhunter, and he said he wanted to take an Oreo photo with his MM toy.  Then I began to realize there must be a significance to the Oreos. There was! It may sound silly, but from that moment I wanted to learn everything I could about Martian Manhunter! A characteristic being that he is obsessed with a cookie?! That was fantastic! This fact immediately endeared this Martian to me.

 I wanted to learn more, but I have discovered that finding information about Martian Manhunter is not that easy.  I tried to find some comics with no luck. That's what this blog is going to be about. I want to find out as much as I can about this character.  It's really for me and I would ideally like to post something everyday, but that may not happen.  Also, I'm going to do a 365 project with my Martian Manhunter Funko Pop! because it is the main reason for my introduction to this great character.
